摘　　要：印度应当从过去的历史经验中汲取教训,摆脱“教条主义”,灵活自主地应对复杂的外部事务。美国是现行国际秩序的维护者,中国是“潜在的超级大国”且崛起是不可避免的,但这并不代表世界会回到一个“两极世界”。其他主要力量发展迅速,加快了全球权力的扩散和多极化世界的形成,这对印度而言是机遇大于挑战。在国际规则下,印度致力于一个多极化和多元化的世界发展格局。印度的对外战略方针是“与美交好、管控中印关系、与欧洲培养友谊、安抚俄罗斯、强化印日关系、吸引邻国、扩大印度的朋友圈、成为‘全球南方’的旗手”。苏杰生认为“世界应当接受印度大国崛起的必然趋势”。This book reviewed is about Indian international political outlook and India's strategic choices,the author points out that India should draw lessons from past historical experience,get rid of“dogmatism”and deal with complex external affairs flexibly and independently.The U.S.is the defender of the current international order,and China is a“potential superpower”and its rise is inevitable,but this does not mean that the world will return to a“bipolar world.”It is worth noting that there are other major forces which are developing rapidly,accelerating the spread of global power and the formation of a multipolar world,which presents more opportunities than challenges for India.Under international rules,India is committed to a multi-polar and pluralistic world.India's foreign strategy is to establish a good relationship with the U.S.,manage Sino-Indian relations,cultivate friendship with Europe,appease Russia,strengthen India-Japan relations,attract neighboring countries,make more friends,and become the flag bearer of the Global South.The author of this book,S.Jaishankar,a profes-sional diplomat who has experienced major changes in Indian diplomacy and the interna-tional environment in his 45 years of diplomatic career,has abundant diplomatic experi-ence and insights in international politics.From S.Jaishankar􀆳s perspective,the world should accept India's rise as a great power as an inevitable trend.
