摘　　要：经济学研究本质上是一个从纷繁复杂的经济现象中破解蕴含在其中的信息代码,并运用这些信息造福人类的过程。从“信息观”的角度来看,经济学研究可以划分为提炼假说、理论建模和经验分析三个阶段,而经验分析又包括简约式估计、结构式估计和机器学习三种方法。本文旨在从“信息观”的角度对经济学各类研究方法的适用场景以及在应用过程中容易出现的滥用、误用的问题进行梳理,一方面可以规避经济学研究中的常见陷阱,另一方面则能够根据研究问题和局限条件的差异来选择适合的研究方法。本文在对已有研究方法进行评述的过程中,也尝试对数字经济时代经济学研究所面临的机遇和挑战进行展望。Research in economics is essentially a process of deciphering the“information codes”contained within complex economic phenomena and using this information to benefit humanity.From the perspective of an“information view”,research in economics can be divided into three stages:hypothesis extraction,theoretical modeling,and empirical analysis.Further,empirical analysis includes three methods:reduced form estimation,structural estimation,and machine learning.This article aims to clarify the applicable scenarios for various research methods in economics from an information perspective,as well as the potential issues of“misuse”and“abuse”that may arise during the application process.The goal is to assist beginners in avoiding common pitfalls and selecting appropriate research methods based on the research question and limitations.Furthermore,this article provides an outlook on the opportunities and challenges faced by research in economics in the digital era.
