Reading promotion plays an important role in improving the comprehensive quality of college students and has become a hot topic of research in university libraries.Exploring effective methods to enhance the enthusiasm and loyalty of college students in participating in reading promotion is the key to enhancing the effectiveness of reading promotion activities.Based on the theory of ternary interaction and self-efficacy,the article constructs a problem-oriented reading promotion model. With the issue of mobile phone dependence as the guide,it comprehensively considers the interaction of individuals, environment, and behavior, organizes reading practice activities, stimulates readers'needs, and verifies the effectiveness of the model. The results indicate that problem-based reading promotion activities have a good effect on reducing students'dependence on mobile phones, enhancing their enthusiasm and loyalty to participate in reading promotion, and enabling the concept of“reading can solve problems”to be recognized by participants. The intrinsic needs of participants in reading are well stimulated. The problem-based reading promotion model has a certain reference role in promoting a virtuous cycle of college students'reading and improving the effectiveness of reading promotion.
