摘 要:学习者在直接抱怨语中的元语用意识决定了言语行为的得体性。根据二维模型,元语用意识包含知识呈现和知识控制两个方面,呈现了知识但控制不当会造成效果背离预期。基于此,本研究采用回顾式口头报告分析了43位中高级英语学习者产出抱怨语的认知过程,观察三个表征方面的知识以及学习者在控制过程中的能动性,是否达到预期效果。研究发现,(1)学习者对概念表征有充分的认识,但是对形式和符号表征存在意识不足的问题;(2)学习者有避免冲突的意愿,但是不能很好地控制语言与产出效果的关系,容易产生训诫、威胁等印象。这说明学习者对于语言形式的理解过于单一和孤立,在结合语境调用语言时存在一定困难。通过增加语用知识并完善语用知识控制,可以进一步提高学习者的能动性和跨文化交际能力。The learner's metapragmatic awareness in direct complaints determines the appropriateness of the speech act.According to the two-dimensional model,metapragmatic awareness consists of knowledge demonstration and knowledge control.Without proper control,EFL learners having pragmatic knowledge alone tend to achieve unexpected results.Based on this,this study uses retrospective verbal reports(RVR)to analyze the cognitive processes of 43 upper-intermediate English learners'complaints,examine the three representational consciousnesses,and explore whether these consciousnesses can be reasonably controlled to reflect learner agency and meet their needs.It is found that(1)the learners have adequate knowledge of conceptual representation,but lack sufficient awareness of formal representation and symbolic representation;(2)the learners have the awareness of avoiding conflicts,but cannot control the processing and evaluate the effect by selecting proper expressions,which leave an impression of patronizing and threatening others.This shows that the learner's knowledge of language form is quite narrow and isolated,resulting in their difficulties in selecting proper expressions in combination with the context.If EFL learners can enrich pragmatic knowledge their initiative and intercultural communication competence will be improved.
