摘　　要：林语堂擅长对外国人讲中国文化,留学欧美、英文绝佳固然是其讲述中国取得佳绩的重要因素,但起主导性的恐怕还是其所服膺并秉持的文学观念和诗学体系。林语堂激赏西方表现主义美学,将其与中国晚明的性灵学说“联姻”,最终构建起主张“涵养性灵、参透道理、抒写个性、不拘格套”的幽默诗学。在幽默诗学的指引下,他在国内创办杂志、倡导现代小品文,试图解放刻板干枯的文风,他在国外撰写著述、译介中国文学与文化,努力为世界阐释中国。他的幽默诗学体系及文学创作、文化译介实践,都足资当下国际传播能力建设之鉴。Lin Yutang’s advantage is to narrate Chinese culture to foreigners and his achievements should be definitely ascribed to such important factors as his studying overseas in Europe,America and speaking excellent English.The leading factors,however,may still be his literary concepts and poetic system.Lin Yutang espouses the Western expressionist aesthetics,weds it with the Xing-ling Theory of the late Ming Dynasty in China and ultimately creates and constructs a humorous poetics that advocates nurturing the disposition,meditating the truth,voicing individuality,and not being confined to forms.Under the guidance of humorous poetics,he founded magazines and advocated modern essays in China,trying to liberate the rigid and boring writing style.He wrote books,translated and introduced Chinese literature and culture abroad,striving to interpret China to the world.His humorous poetics system,literary creation and cultural translation practices are sufficient to mirror the construction of international communication capabilities at present.
