摘 要:潘光旦把“位育”当作由演化论发展出的一个基本的综合概念,逐步从对社会位育的阐发转向了对民族位育的阐发,提供了中华民族所能贡献于整个现代世界的思想和经验。其位育思想含括了三个层面:一是人在自身既有的自然环境中生存,需要有一个不断提撕自己的过程;二是社会的精神环境的位育,不能为了一时秩序的安堵,而牺牲团体生活的声色与热闹;三是现代民族作为一整体生命所能进取的境界,在团体生存与维持的意识之外,还有赖于其内部分子的一种不断向上的力量的维持与将养。Considering“adoption”as a most comprehensive basic concept developed by Evolution,Pan Guangdan had gradually shifted the core value of his theory from social adoption to ethnic adoption which points out for us at a very early time that the contributions of Chinese civilization to the modern world based on our own ideas and experience.Adoption in PanGuangdan's theory comprises at least three levels.Firstly,individuals who survive in their own existing environment have to be aware of keeping toward self-improvement.Secondly,social environment should be demanded to spiritual nurture.Social order for a short while cannot be achieved at the expense of the vitality of various group life and prosperity in future.Thirdly,in addition to the maintenance of certain community groups,a modern ethnic group also bears the mission of advance its internal life into an ever-renewed realm which depends on the full development of its internal elements respectively lead by its persistentlyupward force.
