摘　　要：城乡融合发展是近四十年来我国城乡关系变迁中不可逆转的大趋势,这也呈现在村落终结的实体场景中。李培林所著的《村落的终结——羊城村的故事》一书,以广州城中村“羊城村”为调研对象,从村落终结“艰难性”切入,寻找村落终结的经济社会逻辑。该书通过对“嵌入型”村落企业、残缺集体经济产权、农民理性与村落非正式经济等领域的分析,指出了理顺城乡关系的经济限制;通过对村落非正式制度、权力结构、传统土地情结及精神文化层面的分析,梳理出城乡关系协调发展的社会文化制约。羊城村研究表明,村落终结有其自身的生命轨迹,作为生活制度和社会关系网络的“村落终结”,要比职业身份的“农民终结”更加滞后和艰难。在当下仍在持续进行的城市化与村落变迁中,不仅有大批村落已经终结或正在走向终结,村落的分化整合也更加剧烈。在我国村落城市化朝向纵深发展的背景下,这一经典之作对厘清村落终结与城乡融合发展的诸多症结所在仍有重要价值。Over the past four decades,urban-rural integrated development has emerged as an irreversible megatrend reshaping China's urban-rural relations.Li Peilin's book,"The End of Villages:The Story of Yangcheng Village,"focuses on the urban village"Yangcheng Village"in Guangzhou.It explores the economic and social rationale behind the decline of villages,emphasizing the challenges associated with this process.The book highlights the economic challenges in handling urban-rural relations by analyzing""embedded"vllage enterprises,flawed collective economic property rights,farmers'rationality,and the village's informal economy.By examining the informal system,power structure,traditional land complex,and cultural dimensions of the village,the book delineates the social and cultural impediments to the coordinated development of urban-rural relations.The study on Yangcheng Village illustrates that the decline of villages follows a distinct life trajectory.The"end of villages"as a way of life and a network of social relations lags behind and poses more challenges than the"end of peasants"in terms of occupational status.With urbanization continuing and villages undergoing changes,plenty of villages either ended or are in the process of ending.Concurrently,the differentiation and integration of villages have intensified.Amidst the profound urbanization of villages in China,revisiting this classic work has significant academic and practical value.This is particularly true in elucidating the crux of the end of villages and urban-rural integration and development.
