摘　　要：根雕艺术,目前定位于工艺美术。从本质而言,工艺与美术是两个不同的领域,简言之,工艺是有用之美,如柳宗悦所言“工艺之美就是实用之美,所有的美都产生于服务之心。”美术是无用之美,如丰子恺所言“真的绘画是无用的,有用的不是真的绘画。无用便是大用。”The improvement of intention,realm and skill and the creation of top-notch root carving art are the results of comprehensive efforts,which depend not only on the accumulation and thinking of root carvers'creation practicesover years,but also on down-to-earth efforts other than carving,such as sculpture,painting,calligraphy and soon.
