摘　　要：印度参与联合国维和行动具有派遣维和人员多、恪守维和行动原则、坚持以联合国为主导、率先派遣女性人员和参与维和军种多样等特点。印度之所以积极参与联合国维和行动主要是为了实现其树立大国形象、谋求常任理事国席位、维护海外经济利益和保护海外侨民等国家利益。在具体维和行动中,印度承担了诸多任务,保障了维和行动的顺利进行,缓和了一些地区的紧张局势,缓解了人道主义危机,并且一定程度上促进了性别平等。同时,印度参与联合国维和行动也面临一些挑战,主要包括印度维和人员被指控行为不当、印度与联合国在维和行动决策权方面存在分歧、印度维和角色存在自相矛盾之处以及印度希望通过维和行动入常的愿望难以实现等。尽管受制于一些因素,印度未来仍会积极参与联合国维和行动。India's participation in United Nations Peacekeeping Operations is marked by several distinctive characteristics:India deploys many personnel to participate in peacekeeping missions;Indian personnel adhere closely to peacekeeping principles;India maintains a deep commitment to U.N.leadership;it has pioneered the deployment of female peacekeepers;and it participates in a diverse range of peacekeeping roles.India's active involvement in U.N.peacekeeping serves primarily to advance its own national interests,including building its image as a great power,seeking a permanent seat on the U.N.Security Council,safeguarding overseas economic interests,and protecting its nationals overseas.Within the context of specific peace operations,India has undertaken a range of tasks,helping to ensure the smooth operation of peacekeeping missions,while alleviating tensions in certain regions.India's role has also helped to mitigate humanitarian crises and to a certain extent promoted gender equality.While so,India also faces challenges vis-à-vis its involvement in peacekeeping.These include allegations of inappropriate conduct by some Indian peacekeeping personnel,disagreements between India and the U.N.on some decisions made with respect to peacekeeping affairs;contradictions across different peacekeeping roles;and challenges in terms of India realizing its hope that contributions to peacekeeping may contribute to a bid for a seat on the Security Council.Despite these constraints,India is likely to continue its active contributions to U.N.peacekeeping operations.
