Considering the presence of cross-Kerr nonlinearity in the coupling medium, the influence of the cross-Kerr effect on the second-order nonlinearity induced transparency in coupled dual optical cavities is studied analytically. Firstly, the Hamiltonian that describes the theoretical model of the system is given, and then the transmittance of the detection field is obtained by linearizing the Heisenberg-Langevin equation, and finally the absorption and dispersion relations of the system are obtained. The numerical simulation results showed that when the strength of the cross-Kerr nonlinearity is small, its influence on the induced transparency can be ignored. As the strength of the cross-Kerr nonlinearity increases, the width of the induced transparency window narrows rapidly. In addition, double absorption peaks appear in the absorption curve. When the cross-Kerr nonlinearity is further enhanced, the original induced transparency disappears, and a new induced transparency is generated at the new absorption peak. The zero-absorption position of the new induced transparency shifts to the left side as the cross-Kerr nonlinearity increases. These results may provide some useful assistance in the narrow-window light transmission of opaque media and the improvement of the performance of optical cavities.
