Ketosis is a nutritional and metabolic disorder that commonly affects dairy cows during the perinatal period. It can result in a sharp decline in production performance and have a serious impact on farm economics.Current research indicates that maintaining a healthy gastrointestinal environment is crucial for the digestive process. In dairy cows with ketosis, significant changes occur in the gastrointestinal environment, including the morphology and structure of the gastrointestinal tract, the composition of the bacterial flora, and the composition of the rumen fluid. These changes not only predispose dairy cows to ketosis, but also influence its occurrence in normal dairy cows.Consequently, studying the relationship between gastrointestinal microbiota and ketosis in dairy cows deeper offers new possibilities for preventing and treating ketosis.
