摘　　要：澳大利亚现实主义文学先驱、民族文学奠基人亨利·劳森将狄更斯看作他文学生涯中的“父亲形象”。文章从狄更斯和劳森相似的童年苦难经历、狄更斯对劳森现实主义创作影响以及狄更斯与劳森的民族理想三方面展开研究,论文认为,劳森童年作家梦想、现实主义创作理念以及作为作家的民族忧思都表明狄更斯对他创作生涯无处不在的影响。Henry Lawon,the Australian classic writer,in his A Fragment of Autobiography states clearly that his literary career is much influenced by Charles Dickens and that he regards Dickens as his literary father.The main argument of the paper is that Charles Dickens s influences on Henry Lawson s writing career is salient and omnipresent.Based on this,this paper attempts to analyze in details the three aspects where Dickens has exerted his influences on Lawson,that is,Lawson s similar tragic childhood with Charles Dickens encouraged him to be a literary giant like Dickens,so he constructed his Australian imagination with Dickensian realist style.
