Objective To explore the effect of drug-coated balloon(DCB)applied to balloon-assisted maturation(BAM)technology in the treatment of immature autogenous arteriovenous fistula(AVF).Methods The clinical data of 18 patients with immature AVF who were treated with BAM using DCB in Zhongshan Hospital,Fudan University from January 2019 to August 2023 were analyzed retrospectively. Results The technical success rate of BAM technology was 100%,and the clinical success rate was 94.4%.The primary patency rates at 6 months,1 and 2 years after surgery were 83.0%,73.7%and 39.5%,respectively,and the secondary patency rates were 93.8%,93.8%,and 70.3%,respectively.Conclusion The technical success rate and clinical success rate of DCB applied to BAM technology in the treatment of immature AVF is excellent, and the short-and mid-term patency rate are satisfactory.
