摘　　要：四届雨果奖得主N.K.杰米辛在其都市幻想小说《化身城市》(2020)中构想了一个危机四伏的纽约城,它面临着来自异宇宙敌人的空间与文化侵袭。本文结合现实世界中纽约的发展进程阐释该都市在小说里异质交融的都市空间形态与多元创新的都市文化特征。在此基础上,通过分析文本虚构的侵袭手段,揭示小说所影射的现实纽约在空间上面临的政治分裂与中产化危机,以及在文化上面临的同质化与创新乏力等问题,继而通过分析小说中对危机的纾解方式,审视作者对现实纽约都市空间和文化同质化及僵化倾向所持有的警惕与其多元文化共生共融的乌托邦都市理想。In her latest urban fantasy The City We Became(2020),the four-time Hugo Award winner N.K.Jemisin imagines a New York City in crisis,with specific spatial and cultural attacks from an ultra-universe enemy.Combining textual analysis with the urbanization process of New York,the essay studies the heterogeneous and integrating urban space of the fictional New York City,as well as its diverse and creative urban cultures.The characteristics of the fictional urban attacks are studied to unravel the pertinent urban crises of New York in the real world:on one hand,the city faces spatial crises of political division and gentrification;on the other hand,the city encounters cultural crises of homogenization and waning creativity.Additionally,through analyzing the solutions provided in the fiction,the essay examines Jemisin’s concern of the spatial and cultural homogenization and ossification tendency of New York in reality and her utopian ideal of a culturally heterogenous and harmonious urban city.
