摘 要:书籍封面设计不但要把书籍内容准确地传达给读者,还要赋予书籍封面丰厚的精神内涵,达到传播文化与提高受众审美情趣的目的。以张爱玲的《小团圆》封面设计为例,搜集相关的文献为支撑并进行归纳总结。得出设计师是通过封面设计架起了一座沟通作者与读者之间的桥梁,让读者感受到书籍的内容并得到精神享受。设计作品是有形的,而设计精神是无形的,书籍设计的精神从中国传统文化中来,《小团圆》的书籍设计师领悟了传统文化中的美学精神,选取传统纹样中的“凤穿牡丹纹”,把中国传统美学精神中的日常之美、对比之美、含蓄之美、留白之美融入书籍封面设计这个载体中,并以崭新的形式升华了出来,也契合了作者张爱玲的创作精神。Book cover design should not only accurately convey the contents of books to readers,but al-so endue the book cover with rich spiritual connotation,so as to achieve the purpose of spreading cul-ture and improving people's aesthetic taste.It selected the cover design of Xiao Tuan Yuan by Eileen Zhang as an example,then collected relevant literature as the support and summarized it.It is conclud-ed that the designer builds a bridge between the author and the readers through the cover design,so that the readers can feel the contents of the book and get spiritual enjoyment.Design works are tangi-ble,but the spirit of design which comes from traditional Chinese culture is invisible.The book design-er of Xiao Tuan Yuan understands the aesthetic spirit of traditional culture and selects the traditional pattern of"phoenix flying through peony".It integrates the daily,contrastive,implicit and blank beau-ty of traditional Chinese aesthetics into the carrier of book cover design,and sublimates it in a new form,which also accords with the creative spirit of Eileen Chang.
