摘　　要：作为荷马史诗《奥德赛》的叙事主线之一,求婚情节是对荷马时代伊萨卡政治状况的深刻折射。在并无伊萨卡首领奥德修斯已经去世的确切消息下,伊萨卡本地及其周边贵族麇集于奥德修斯家中,向其妻裴奈罗佩求婚,挥霍其家产,占有其女仆等看似荒谬的行径有着深厚的社会政治背景。奥德修斯离家期间,伊萨卡在政治上处于无政府状态,统治权的接续成为伊萨卡政治的核心问题,故贵族们求婚行为的本质是求婚者对伊萨卡统领权的蓄意争夺,是十足的政治行为。As one of the main narrative threads of Homer's Odyssey,the courting episode is a profound reflection of the socio-political conditions of Ithaca in the Homeric age.Without any definite knowledge that Odysseus,the chief of Ithaca,had died,the aristocrats in and around Ithaca gathered in Odysseus's house,proposing marriage to his wife Penelope,squandering his family property and taking over his maidservants.These seemingly preposterous acts of the suitors had a deep socio-political background.During Odysseus's absence from home,Ithaca was in a state of political anarchy,and the succession of rulership became a central issue in Ithacan politics.Essentially,the suitors'behaviors were the deliberate and well-planned usurpation of the rulership of Ithaca and were thus purely political.
