苏州商团对地方保护起到的作用——以江浙战争为例

摘　　要：苏州商团的前身是苏商体育会,辛亥革命后改称苏州商团,1922年后正式隶属于苏州总商会。苏州商团以保护本地民众财产、维持地方秩序为己责,辛亥革命期间就起到了维护地方治安的作用,江浙战争期间应苏州地方警察当局的邀请,并与其配合,为保护苏城民众的人身和财产安全作出了不容忽视的重要贡献。The Suzhou Commercial Corps,the predecessor of which was the Suzhou Merchants'Sports Association,was renamed as such afer the Revolution of 1911 and formally afiliated with the Suzhou Chamber of Conmerce.The Suzhou Conmercial Corps,which took protecting the property of local people and maintaining the local order as their own responsibilities,played a role in maintaining local public security during the Revolution of 1911,and during the Jiangsu-Zhejiang War,at the invitation of the local police authorities in Suzhou and in cooperation with them,made important contributions to protect people's personal and property safety in Suzhou,which should not be overlooked.
