摘　　要：各位嘉宾,女士们,先生们:晚上好!我要代表我夫人和同事们,感谢大家前来参加今晚的聚会。今天是中国农历腊月初八。按照中国习俗,过了腊八就是年,我们即将迎来农历龙年,并开启长达一个月的春节节庆模式。春节是喜庆的日子,亲朋好友见面要畅叙友情,主要是庆贺过去一年取得的成就、展望新的一年美好未来。这也是我们今晚聚会的主题。Dearguests,Ladies and Gentlemen,Good evening!On behalf of my wife and my colleagues,I would like to thank you for coming to tonight's gathering.Today is what we in China call the Laba Day,or the eighth day of the 12th month in the Chinese lunar calendar.Chinese tradition has it that the New Year begins after the Laba Day.So tomorrow will actually usher in the Chinese New Year and kick off a monthlong Spring Festival celebration.
