曾国藩与王錱的节制之争及其影响

摘　　要：曾国藩、王錱决裂是湘军初期的一桩知名公案。曾国藩根据形势变化并结合军饷情况提出裁汰王錱新招募的湘勇,导致两人产生裂隙。骆秉章的微妙态度让王錱看到契机,心高气傲的他选择另攀高枝以实现自立门户。其间,曾国藩一退再退试图挽回关系,然而均未奏效。当确定王錱不愿再受其节制时,讲求号令统一的他毅然把王錱排除在东征队伍之外。王錱的骄傲自负导致岳州之败,曾国藩得知后彻底打消了缓和关系的想法。曾、王决裂后,曾国藩深刻反省,为后来湘军将领提供发展空间,使湘军集团势力得到快速发展。清廷则通过这次事件发现端倪,找到瓦解湘军的有效策略。The break between Zeng and Wang was a well-known public case in the early stage of the Xiang Army.Zeng Guofan proposed to cut down the Xiang Army which was newly recruited by Wang Zhen based on change of the situation and military budget,and it caused the crack between them.From Luo Bingzhang’s subtle attitude,proud and arrogant Wang Zhen found an opportunity to change his leader and to build his new army.During this period,Zeng Guofan retreated and attempted a lot to get him back,but none of them worked.When Zeng was sure that Wang was no longer willing to be under his control,he emphasized unified command,and kicked out Wang from the team of the Eastern Expedition decisively.Wang Zhen’s arrogance led to the defeat of Yuezhou Battle,and it made Zeng Guofan completely disappointed to recover the relationship.After the break between Zeng and Wang,Zeng Guofan had autocriticism deeply,and started to provide development for other generals,which led to the rapid development of the Xiang Army.Through this case,the government of the Qing Dynasty discovered clues and found effective strategies to disintegrate the Xiang Army.
