A New Evidential Examination of“Peng Rong,”Representative of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to the Founding Congress of the Communist Party of Taiwan

摘　　要：关于出席台共成立大会的中共中央代表“彭荣”的真实身份,学界曾提出彭湃、瞿秋白及任弼时三种说法,各有依据,却又均存在史实漏洞,难以自圆其说。经考诸中外相关档案史料,在分析目前主流的“任弼时说”也难以成立基础上,本文提出“彭荣”身份的新说法,推证“彭荣”应为曾任中共中央长江局代理书记、湖北省委代理书记的任旭(任昭明)。Regarding the true identity of"Peng Rong,"the representative of the Central Committee of the CCP who attended the founding congress of the Communist Party of Taiwan,scholars have put forward three hypotheses,namely,Peng Pai,Qu Qiubai and Ren Bishi.Although each has its basis,all of them have loopholes in the historical facts and are difficult to justify.In this article,by examining the relevant archives and materials in China and abroad and challenging the current mainstream"Ren Bishi hypothesis,"we put forward a new theory of Peng Rong's identity.This paper argues that"Peng Rong"should be Ren Xu(Ren Zhaoming),the acting secretary of the Yangtze River Bureau of the Central Committee of the CCP and the acting secretary of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee.
