摘　　要：广州又称“羊城”,是广东省省会,国家重要的中心城市、国际商贸中心、综合交通枢纽;是粤港澳大湾区核心引擎城市之一。广州有2200多年历史,是古代海上丝绸之路的始发地,素有“千年商都”的美誉;这里气候宜人,森林覆盖率达42.14%,被联合国评为“国际花园城市”,获联合国改善人居环境最佳范例奖。广州总面积7434.40平方千米,2022年末,广州市常住人口1873.41万人。Guangzhou,also known as"Yangcheng,"is the capital of Guangdong Province,a crucial city in China,an international trade center,and a comprehensive transportation hub.It is one of the core cities in the Greater Bay Area.With a history of over 2,200 years,Guangzhou is the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road,earning it a reputation as a"Millennium Business City".The city has a pleasant climate,with a forest coverage rate of 42.14%,leading to its recognition by the United Nations as an"International Garden City."It also received the UN Habitat Scroll of Honor Award for Best Practices in Improving the Living Environment.Covering a total area of 7434.40 square kilometers,Guangzhou had a permanent population of 18.73 million at the end of 2022.
