摘　　要：中国史学界围绕历史时期的土地问题展开了长期广泛而深入的讨论。与土地一样,传统农业社会中,人们围绕水的使用与管理,也形成了一套完整的体系。全面来看,水利社会就是以水为中心延伸出来的地域性自然和社会关系体系。“以水为中心”的研究,可以贯通自然和社会两个方面,可以作为一条路径探讨区域社会全面的历史,进而实现从区域到整体的社会史研究目标。The present paper,having its argument based on the idea that,in the traditional agricultural society,there was a completed system in the use and management of water as that of land,contends that,overall,the hydraulic society was no other than the regional system of natural and social relationships extending from the center of water and it believes that the water-centered perspective will be a new path that threads together nature and society and makes regional social history more comprehensive.
