This paper aims to carry out a series of experimental investigations on the harmless treatment of secondary aluminum dross and its resource utilization in cement-based materials.By testing the hydration heat of cementitious materials, the workability and mechanical properties of concrete, and volume stability, the impact of hydrolyzed secondary aluminum dross on concrete performance is systematically evaluated. The results show that the hydrolysis treatment of secondary aluminum dross for 8 hours has an inhibitory effect on the early hydration heat release of aluminum dross-cement composite cementitious materials, postponing the peak of heat release after induction period and reducing the temperature rise within 36 hours of concrete.Hydrolysis of secondary aluminum dross has a certain adverse effect on the compressive strength of concrete. On the one hand, when the dosage exceeds 10%,the compressive strength of concrete at 56 days will decrease by more than 8.2%.On the other hand, the addition of hydrolyzed secondary aluminum dross can cause early micro-expansion,which has a certain compensation effect on the early drying shrinkage of concrete. When the dosage reaches 10%,the drying shrinkage of concrete at 7 days is reduced by about 38%,which has a positive effect on the volume stability of concrete.
