Objective To investigate the application value of thromboelastography(TEG)in severe preeclampsia(sPE)and HELLP syndrome. Methods 83 pregnant women with severe preeclampsia were selected as the control group and 15 pregnant women with HELLP syndrome were selected as the study group. The clinical data of the two groups were observed. Results The total bilirubin(TBIL),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),creatinine(Cr)and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)indexes of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the platelet count(PLT)indexes were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in coagulation indexes between the two groups(P>0.05).The maximum clot intensity(MA value)in the study group was(64.56±5.28)mm,lower than(68.09±6.55)mm in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with conventional coagulation tests(CCTs),the MA value of TEG is significantly different in sPE and HELLP syndrome, and can be used for early identification of HELLP syndrome.
