日本近世“汉文直读论”刍议

摘  要:语言文化是观察东亚社会近代转型的重要指标。尤其是汉字与汉文,对除中国以外的同地域许多国家来说既是外来文化,又在漫长的时代嬗变下内化为自我历史的血肉组成。本文以日本汉学史、教育史、思想史课题中的“汉文直读论”为研究对象,在早期研究的基础上追根溯源,从汉文训读史的角度还原日本近世“汉文直读论”的历史全貌。“汉文直读论”的主张虽然未在日本近世获得持续响应,却影响了汉文训读法的发展。在近世后期日本发生儒学体制化转变后,对“汉文直读论”的讨论从学问内部走向社会外部。对那些受汉文直读影响汉文训读法的批评,也从早先单纯的学问方法研讨,逐渐演变为思想观念上的“和汉自他”论争。Language culture is an important indicator to observe the modern transformation of East Asian society.This is especially the case since Chinese characters and texts are not only foreign cultures to many countries in this region,but also a significant part of their own history.This article takes the topic"Sinoxenic reading"as the research object,trying to trace the origins and restore a true history of"Sinoxenic reading"during early modern Japan from the perspective of vernacular readings of Chinese texts.Although the proposition of"Sinoxenic reading"has not been continuously represented in Japan,it has still influenced the development of vernacular readings of Chinese texts.After the institutionalization of Confucianism took place in the era of late early modern Japan,the discussion of"Sinoxenic reading"moved from academic circles to the public.Criticisms of Sinoxenic readings have gradually evolved from academic debates into ideological competition.
