斯宾塞与中世纪风奇幻文学——论《仙后》与《哈利·波特》系列小说的互文关系

摘　　要：受中世纪风奇幻文学奠基人托尔金和刘易斯的熏陶以及罗琳自身背景的影响,《哈利·波特》中几乎无可避免地会有《仙后》的影子。《仙后》与《哈利·波特》都从古希腊罗马文学和以亚瑟王传奇为代表的中世纪浪漫传奇中汲取了丰富的养分,从而得以依靠相似的前文本谱写出具有中世纪风格的奇幻之旅。《仙后》将献给16世纪英国的政治与宗教寓言注入骑士传奇,而由斯宾塞重塑的浪漫传奇传统则被英国奇幻文学作家再次接过,并在《哈利·波特》中以另一片仙土昭示资本主义精神危机下当代作家对祛魅世纪的反思。通过比较《仙后》与《哈利·波特》,可以窥见浪漫传奇和宗教间的相互影响、骑士精神与基督教价值观的结合、凯尔特文化与基督教文化的交融,以及经典文学与当代流行文学间的对话。Under the influence of the foundational figures of medievalist fantasy,Tolkien and Lewis,and due to Rowling's background,it is almost inevitable for Harry Potter novels to be foreshadowed by The Faerie Queene.Both The Faerie Queene and Harry Potter novels are steeped in Greco-Roman classics and medieval romances represented by the legend of King Arthur,which enable them to draw on similar pre-texts to compose a fantastical journey tinged with medievalism.The Faerie Queene infuses the political and religious allegories dedicated to 16th century Britain into chivalric romance,and the romance tradition refashioned by Spenser has been passed down to English fantasy writers.In Harry Potter novels,another Faerie is built to manifest a contemporary writer's reflection on the disenchanted century amid the spiritual crisis of capitalism.By comparing The Faerie Queene with Harry Potter novels,we can see the mutual influence between romance and religion,the fusion of chivalry and Christian values,the blending of Celtic culture and Christian culture,as well as the dialogues between classic and contemporary popular literature.
