摘　　要：印度和缅甸在19世纪中后期沦为了英国殖民地,这段时期在两国历史上非常重要,不仅影响两国各自的现代化进程,而且相互间关系相较于古代的平稳交流发生了更全面深刻的变化。英国殖民统治下的印缅政治关系:印缅同属英国在东方的殖民地,都经受着严酷的压迫,但由于缅甸被放在英属印度的辖区之下,属于“殖民地中的殖民地”,政治地位更加低下。印度民族革命运动启发缅甸建立了民族主义团体,印缅双方民族独立运动领导人展开了合作。印缅冲突大多源于印度移民问题,因为印度人普遍比缅甸人教育水平高,几乎所有公共服务部门的职位都被印度人占据了。印缅的经济关系主要表现为印度对缅甸的控制和缅甸对印度的高度依赖。印度人对缅甸资本的垄断是印缅双方反英独立斗争合作的一个消极因素。印缅政经关系虽有矛盾,但这一时期总体上以和平合作为主流。The British colonization of India and Burma in the mid-to-late nineteenth century was an important period in the history of the two countries,not only in terms of their respective modernization processes,but also in terms of the more comprehensive and profound changes in their relations with each other compared to the smooth exchanges in the ancient times.The India-Burma political relations under British colonial rule is:both India and Burma were British colonies in the East and suffered from severe oppression,but Burma’s political status was even lower because it was placed under the jurisdiction of British India and was a“colony within a colony”.The Indian Revolutionary Movement inspired the creation of nationalist groups in Burma,and the leaders of the Indian and Burmese national independence movements cooperated with each other.Much of the conflicts between India and Burma originated from the issues of Indian immigration.Because Indians are generally better educated than Burmese,almost all positions in the public service are occupied by Indians.The economic relations between them were characterized by India’s control over Burma and Burma’s high dependence on India.The Indian monopoly of Burmese capital was a negative factor of their cooperation in the struggle for independence against the Britain.Despite the contradictions in the political and economic relations between them,peace and cooperation were the mainstreams of this period.
