马承源先生与上海博物馆的创新发展——以《青铜大家:马承源传》为中心的若干思考

摘　　要：马承源先生(1927—2004)既是享誉国际的青铜器研究大家,也担任上海博物馆新馆建设和快速发展时期的馆长。他在青铜器等文物研究基础上向藏品鉴定、征集、展览和对外交流方面不断拓展,似乎都在为成为一个统筹博物馆全面发展的专家型馆长做铺垫。他和上博同仁在博物馆建设与管理运行方面的一系列探索,在博物馆体制方面的一系列改革,在博物馆藏品征集与陈列展览方面的一系列运作,使上博很快跻身世界一流博物馆行列,在中国博物馆发展的关键阶段起到了重要的示范与引领效应。他所践行的既是专家建馆治馆,也是社会活动家和政治家建馆治馆的道路,其个人才华、品行和上博新馆建设的良好耦合,取得了巨大成功。他的博物馆建设和运营的相关思想是中国博物馆学和文物学实践探析与理论研究的重要内容。Ma Chengyuan(1927±2004)was both an internationally renowned expert in bronze research and the director of the Shanghai Museum during the period of its new building construction and rapid development from 1985 to 1999.On the basis of research in bronze artifacts and other cultural relics,he continuously expanded into the areas of collection appraisal,acquisition,exhibition,and international exchange.He was laying a groundwork to become an expert museum director who can oversee the comprehensive development of the museum.Along with colleagues of the Shanghai Museum,he has undertaken a series of explorations in museum construction and management,implemented a series of reforms in the museum system,and carried out a series of operations in the acquisition and exhibition of museum collections.These efforts quickly propelled the Shanghai Museum to become a world-class museum,and played an important role in demonstrating and leading the development of museums in China during the key stage.On the path that he engaged in museum establishment and management,he was not only an expert but also a social activist and a politician.His personal talent,character and good coupling with the construction of the new Shanghai Museum has achieved tremendous success.His thoughts on museum construction and operation are an important part of the practical exploration and theoretical research of Chinese museology and cultural relics studies.
