摘　　要：The ancient town of Chaozhou,located in eastern Guangdong Province,was established in the Qin Dynasty(221-207 B.C.).It is famous for its rich history and culture.Archway Street is located on the central axis of the ancient city of Chaozhou.Across less than two kilometers of the street,23 ancient archways were erected successively with anecdotes about local celebrities,inspiring the name“Archway Street.”
