摘  要:覆盖增强技术包括覆盖性能增强、覆盖区域优化、信号补盲等研究方向,被广泛认为是6G网络中需要重点关注的问题。近年来,智能反射面(Intelligent Reflecting Surface, IRS)因其低成本、低功耗、易于部署等特点,在覆盖增强技术方面得到广泛研究。基于现有文献中的IRS辅助覆盖增强技术,对其应用场景、问题建模及求解方案进行归纳,并按照大尺度网络覆盖优化、小尺度区域覆盖控制以及离散相位码本下的实际部署测试三种典型场景对该领域研究进展进行详细阐述。对基于IRS辅助的覆盖增强技术进行了总结与展望,旨在为该领域中覆盖增强技术的进一步研究提供新的设计思路。Coverage enhancement technologies,including coverage performance enhancement,coverage area optimization,and signal blind area compensate,have been widely discussed as a key issue that needs to be focused on in 6G network.In recent years,Intelligent Reflecting Surface(IRS)has been widely researched in coverage enhancement technologies due to its flexibility in deploying,as well as the low cost of hardware and power consumptions.This paper summarizes the existing IRS assisted coverage enhancement technologies and provides an overview of application scenarios,problem formulations and feasible solutions.Specifically,the detailed discussions are classified into three aspects:large-scale network coverage optimization,small-scale area coverage control and actual deployment testing under discrete phase codebooks.Finally,an outlook for the IRS assisted coverage enhancement technologies are presented,aiming to provide new design ideas for further research on coverage enhancement technologies in this field.
