摘　　要：美国来华学者、华西协合大学教授戴谦和是近代中国内地高等教育奠基人之一,也是近代华西学术领域的佼佼者。通过系统的史料搜集,回顾戴谦和在中国的学术活动与成就,重点梳理其对中国传统建筑、窗格及多种相关艺术的考察、记录、研究与创作,揭示戴谦和对中国建筑史学及文化遗产保护作出的不可磨灭的贡献。This paper meticulously examines the noteworthy contributions of Daniel Sheets Dye,an American scholar and professor at West China Union University,who played a pivotal role in promoting higher education and scholarship in West China.Through a systematic compilation of historical materials,this paper provides a comprehensive review of Dye’s academic endeavors,emphasizing his meticulous examination,documentation,research,and creative works pertaining to traditional Chinese architecture,lattice structures,and related arts,revealing Dye’s legacy as an enduring contribution to the preservation of cultural heritage to enrich the history of Chinese architecture.
