《皇明海外诸夷志》初探

摘　　要：保存在明正德二年(1507)所抄丛书《艺海汇函》中的《皇明海外诸夷志》一书,是明代异域全志(罗列大量域外国度并扼要叙述其基本状况)系列文献中的一种,很可能是孤本,尚未为学界所关注。此书为文字本,共158条,按照条目字数的多少先长后短依次编排,与其他的异域全志都不同。其文字接近于图文本《异域图志》,而与文字本《异域志》差别较大。此书流传不广,但在明末清初中国学者、文士周拱辰和朝鲜学者、官僚许穆的著作中都有引用(分别称作《诸夷志》和《外夷志》),在清康熙时的目录著作《楝亭书目》中也有著录(称作《海外诸夷志》)。抄本《皇明海外诸夷志》对于勘正刻本《异域图志》的文字讹误,也有一定的帮助。Huangming Haiwai Zhuyi Zhi(Overseas Barbarians of the Royal Ming Dynasty),transcribed in the book series Yihai Huihan which was compiled in the 2 nd year of Zhengde(1507)of the Ming Dynasty,is one of the Ming Dynasty treatises on foreign countries with brief descriptions(Yiyu Quanzhi).This copy could be the only one extant,but had received little attention from the academic community.Comprising 158 entries,it is arranged according to the length of the entries,from long to short.Such arrangement is quite different from other similar books.Its content is close to Yiyu Tuzhi,an illustrated treatise,but differs quite a lot in text with Yiyu Zhi.Although not widely circulated,this book is quoted in the works of Chinese scholar Zhou Gongchen and Joseon scholar and bureaucrat Xu Mu during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties(referred to as“Zhuyi Zhi”and“Waiyi Zhi”,respectively).It is also recorded in the catalogue“Lianting Shumu”from the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty(referred to as“Haiwai Zhuyi Zhi”).The transcribed“Huangming Haiwai Zhuyi Zhi”helps correct textual errors in the block-printed edition of“Yiyu Tuzhi”.
