摘　　要：Studying the Chinese nation requires an examination of both its external characteristics,like its culture and patterns,and its internal aspects,such as inherent mechanisms and functions.Representing humanbeings'natural inclination to create groups,like other ethnic groups,the Chinese nation is a concrete example of"ethnic group formation through population consolidation".The process of"forming an ethnic group through population consolidation"aims to unify multiple individuals into a single entity,or in other words,achieve population consolidation.Throughout history,the Chinese nation has demonstrated a level of population consolidation function,as evidenced by exchanges and interactions among diverse ethnic groups.Upon being constructed as a modern ethnic group,or in other words,as a nation,the Chinese people were imbued with an even stronger and more effective function of population consolidation,which fundamentally changed"the state of disunity"in China at that time.Today,as the Chinese nation undergoes rejuvenation,it is being reshaped,ultimately enhancing its mechanism of population consolidation and making its function even more efficient and prominent.
