学术出版概念再审视——基于功能的视角

摘　　要：在新的时代背景下基于功能视角重新审视学术出版概念,将有助于对这一特殊的出版类型形成更加全面的认知,从而更好地解释学术出版领域出现的新现象,解决新问题。文章对基于多元视角的学术出版概念进行对比分析,强调功能对于理解学术出版本质的重要性,并对记录、传播、认证、评价、存档五项基本功能进行深入阐述,挖掘由功能连接的学术出版场域当中的动态机制。记录、传播、认证、评价、存档五项基本功能是界定学术出版概念的五个重要支点,决定了学术出版的规范结构。学术出版的RDCEA功能模型呈现典型的结构性和动态性特征,其中功能的发挥表现为一种动力学机制,使该场域中的各参与主体紧密连接,从而规定了学术出版的本质。Reviewing the concept of scholarly publishing in the new era and exploring its nature will help us form a more comprehensive understanding of this special type of publishing so as to better explain the new phenomenon and solve new problems in the field of scholarly production and communication.After comparing and analyzing the concepts of scholarly publishing from multiple perspectives emphasizing the significance of examining the concept of scholarly publishing from functional perspective and making a deeply elaboration on the five basic functions—registration dissemination certification evaluation and archiving(RDCEA) this paper proposes an RDCEA functional model for scholarly publishing and introduces the scholarly publishing field which is connected by different functions.Registration dissemination certification evaluation and archiving are the five important fulcrums that define the concept of scholarly publishing and determine its standardized structure.The RDCEA functional model of modern scholarly publishing presents typical structural and dynamic characteristics whereas the performance of its functions is manifested as a dynamic mechanism which tightly connects various participating entities in the field thus defining the essence of scholarly publishing;the concept of scholarly publishing is thus well defined.
