摘　　要：聚焦中国近代建筑的“名”和“实”之关系,燕京大学校园不是建筑师独力构思的作品,而是集体实践的结果。它的中国式面貌并不能反映它的来源,近代建筑的历史演进是非线性的,不能仅仅以风格和著名建筑师作品论之。本案例中可见的“二元论”,中国一外来,表一里,正指向一个关键的文化冲突的历史时刻,其中可以注意到的张力,自我矛盾恰恰是大量创新的来源。Focusing on the relationship between"name and facts,'the essay argues that Yenching University campus is anything but the outcome of a multi-sided social practice.The"Chinese"look of the planning does not represent its culture-crossing origin.The history of modern Chinese architecture unfolds itself in such a non-linear way that it cannot be told merely with stylistic terms and one-liner of star architects.Centered around the case,the binary thinking swinging between"Chinese"and"foreign,"fagade"and"interior"...pinpoints a critical historical moment that is often noticeable during the cultural conflicts full of intensity,self-contradictions and accordingly much innovation.
