摘　　要：女权主义作家薇拉·凯瑟有反传统女性定位特征。在《啊!拓荒者》中,通过对传统性别角色的解构,薇拉·凯瑟通过塑造老伯格森和亚历山德拉兄弟瘦弱的外貌和软弱的性格,渲染男性角色对亚历山德拉的依赖构建出男性角色的女性化;通过刻画亚历山德拉男性化的穿衣风格和勇敢大胆的拓荒者性格,解构了传统社会中女性被禁锢在房间里的旧有形象,构建出女性角色的男性化,展现了现代性积极、进步的一面,构建了与弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫的“雌雄同体”相一致的新的性别角色。这种解构和建构有助于形成一种复杂、多元和动态的现代性话语。The feminist writer Willa Cather has the characteristics of anti-traditional female orientation.In O Pioneers!,through the deconstruction of traditional gender roles,Willa Cather constructs the feminization of male roles by portraying the thin appearance and weak character of elder Bergson and Alexandra brothers,rendering the dependence of male characters on Alexandra;and through the portrayal of Alexandra’s masculine dressing style and brave and bold pioneer character as a pioneering person,she deconstructs the old image of women who is confined in the room in the traditional society,and constructs the masculinisation of female characters,showing the positive and progressive side of modernity,and constructs a new gender role consistent with Virginia Woolf’s“androgyny”.The deconstruction and construction also contributes to the formation of a complex,pluralistic and dynamic discourse of modernity.
