摘　　要：以访谈形式,遵循Holmes关于翻译研究的描写―理论―应用模式,梳理了司显柱教授致力于功能路径翻译研究的探索与实践--论证系统功能语言学之于翻译研究的可行性,运用系统功能语言学理论建构翻译质量评估模式,开展包括对外新闻话语与学术话语翻译在内的翻译实践与批评研究,阐述了系统功能语言学在翻译研究中的理论意义与应用价值。Based on James Holmes’descriptive-theoretical-applied translation studies model,this paper presents an interview with Professor Si who studies translation under the framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics(SFL).He has explored feasible application of SFL to Translation Studies,constructed a translation quality assessment model which was applied to his translation practice of and translation criticism on various genres of texts including international news and academic discourses.In brief,this article expounds theoretical significance and application of Systemic Functional Linguistics to Translation Studies.
