摘　　要：嘉兴火车站位于浙江嘉兴老城市中心的南湖区,是中国首个全下沉式火车站。由MAD负责规划和改造设计的片区占地面积35.4hm,包含嘉兴火车站、车站南北广场以及人民公园。改造前的火车站已达到吞吐量上限,周边片区交通混乱、配套不完善、公共设施短缺等一系列问题导致火车站周边发展受阻、产业结构低端。Located at the centre of Jiaxing,Zhejiang Province,this renovated train station features an urban park on the historic station and a new infrastructure annex underground.Contrary to train stations in China that stand like grand palaces and surrounded by imposing viaducts,the design integrates a borderless park into its functional arrangement,where citizens and travellers can pause and enjoy the beautiful natural environment,bringing the city centre back to its human roots.Jiaxing Train Station imagines another public architecture that prioritise the emotional and spiritual needs of citizens while submerging the functions under landscape.
