摘  要:从清末到北洋政府时期(1895-1926年),得益于贯通南北的铁路干线网,以《申报》为代表的上海报纸逐渐转变为“全国性大报”。这包括三个方面:第一,从口岸地带进入北方内陆,形成以东中部地区为主、辐射其他地区的发行范围;第二,开设分馆、分销处,以机械化交通线路为主干,建设全国性的分销网络;第三,拓展新闻来源,成为消息灵通、格调稳健的全国性报纸,在外埠具有广泛的影响力。需要注意的是,上海报纸的“全国化”是有局限性的,无论是在发行还是内容上,都未实现“完全”覆盖全国,而是呈现出以江南为大本营、东中部地区为主,辐射其他地区的差序格局。From Late Qing Dynasty to the Beiyang Government Period(1895-1926),Shun Pao transformed from a Shanghai local newspaper into a national newspaper.This was largely the result of the northsouth railway network.To be specific,there were three aspects.Firstly,Shun Pao spread from the treaty ports to the northern inland area.Secondly,it operated branches alongside the rail lines,thus establishing a nationwide distribution network.Thirdly,it gathered news broadly and became an informed and influential high-quality newspaper,significantly influencing local newspapers in other regions.However,Shun Pao did not cover the entire territory of China in terms of both content and distribution.It originated from the Yangtze Delta,mainly circulated in the eastern and middle region,and its impact elsewhere was indirect.
