摘　　要：《水雷秘要》是晚清第一本以专书形式全面介绍水雷、鱼雷相关知识的兵学译著,其翻译活动发生于19世纪80年代前后洋务派力图“自主”引进相关西方海军技术和装备的时期。本文对《水雷秘要》的底本内容、译员安排和文本翻译等情况进行分析,梳理其与其他相关文献的承接关系,讨论推动和影响翻译活动的特殊社会因素,考察《水雷秘要》及相关其他译本的翻译与出版对晚清西学和海军相关技术装备引进活动的影响和意义。The Chinese translation of Torpedoes and Torpedo Warfare was the first specialized military publication that fully introduced knowledge about torpedoes and fish torpedoes to China.This translation was done during the 1880s,a period when Chinese supporters of westernization were trying to introduce western naval technologies and equipment.This paper is focused on analyzing the content of the original copy,arrangement of the translators,quality of translation,etc.The article further traces and discusses the connections between the translated Chinese version of Torpedoes and other publications,the specific social factors driving and influencing such translation activities,and the translation s influences on Western Learning and introduction of naval technology and equipment.
