Books are not unusual to be seen at museums. As books are common and readily available, safe displaying of books tends to be overlooked. In fact, a book starts the process of degrading immediately after it is printed. Under inappropriate conditions, some books would face destruction only two to three decades due to the condition of the paper and also storage environment and materials in contact with. Compared to those on internal reasons, researches on external causes and preventative protection are not sufficient. With close contact with books for a long period during displaying, exhibition supplies and accessories, if in damaging material or through mistaken techniques of production, would stimulate the destruction of books. It is essential in preventive preservation of books to design and use safe book cradles. This paper will discuss the reason and solution of the designing and applying safe exhibition supplies and accessories for books to be displayed.
