晚清社会变迁中的女性:中国性科学萌芽的跨语际分析

摘　　要：整理和考察晚清时期从欧美转道日本、再翻译至中国的性科学书籍,其围绕女性性欲的话语揭示,在这一文化传播过程中,本土译者发挥了主体性,对西方知识进行取舍、转化和吸收。首先,通过概观英、日、中三种语言的性科学文献可以发现,面对19世纪欧美多元的女性性欲话语,东亚社会根据本土性学资源,吸收了肯定女性性欲的科学论述,摒弃了“良妇无性欲”的传统观念,而这些论述,又是建立在吸收近代西方恋爱婚姻理念的基础之上的。其次,这些性科学书籍翻译的个案表明,晚清翻译西方性学的内在动机在于强国强种的民族国家理念,而与此同时,中译者又从多个视角吸收和接纳了肯定女性性欲的科学观念与立场。In this paper,through the collation and investigation of the sex science books from Europe and America to Japan and then to China in the late Qing Dynasty,focusing on the discourse of female sexuality,the author expounds how the local translators exert their subjectivity in the process of cultural communication,and how to choose,transform and absorb the Western knowledge.First of all,through a survey of the sexological literature in English,Japanese and Chinese,it reveals that in the diversified sexual desire discourses in Europe and America in the 19th century,according to the local sexology resources,the East Asian society has absorbed and acknowledged the sexual desire of women,and abandoned the concept that"good women have no sexual desire"that had prevailed in Victorian England.Through their translations,Qing scholars adocated the legitimacy of women's sexual desire and the modern Western idea of a love-based marriage.Secondly,by focusing on the translation of sexological books,it shows that the internal motivation of the translation of Western sexology in the late Qing Dynasty lies in the idea of"a strong nation and a healthy people."Within this framework,the scientific discourse on the importance of female sexuality has been absorbed and accepted by Chinese translators from multiple perspectives.
