摘  要:With the development of globalization,the interaction between language and culture has become increasingly intertwined.Metaphor,as a crucial cultural linguistic phenomenon,not only plays an important role in everyday communication,but also serves as a key element of cultural heritage and cognitive expression.Taking China and Germany as examples,this study conducts a metaphorical analysis of the shared symbolic food,the apple,to explore the multidimensional metaphorical images of apples in both cultures.Through this analysis,the research aims to gain a deeper understanding of the unique ways in which Chinese and German cultures interpret common concepts.This article aims to contribute to cross-cultural studies by shedding light on the metaphorical intricacies surrounding the concept of the apple in these two cultures.
