Construction of Hefei advanced light facility begins

摘　　要：On September 20, 2023, the commencement ceremony for the HefeiAdvanced Light Facility (HALF) was held in Hefei. The event was hosted by theNational Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory (NSRL) at the University of Scienceand Technology of China (USTC). HALF is a cutting-edge fourth-generation synchrotron radiation light source in the low- energy region, which is located in GangjiTown, Changfeng, within the Future Science City of Hefei. As one of the nationallarge research infrastructures, HALF is financially supported by both the centralgovemment of China and Anhui Province. The construction is scheduled to becompleted by September 2028.
