摘  要:This paper examines strategies for enhancing academic writing skills among technological college majors at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology(USST),focusing on the linguistic,cultural,and pedagogical challenges unique to this student demographic.Through a comprehensive analysis,it explores the implementation of effective pedagogical approaches tailored to the specific needs of USST students,including the integration of language and content,scaffolded writing tasks,promotion of peer feedback and collaboration,and explicit teaching of academic genres.Additionally,it presents a case study on the effectiveness of task-based assignments in enhancing students’research skills,critical thinking abilities,and academic writing proficiency.By addressing these challenges and implementing targeted strategies,USST can equip its students with the necessary academic writing skills to excel in their academic and professional endeavors,thus enhancing their competitiveness in the global marketplace.
