汉口景明洋行对武汉城市建设的影响探析

摘　　要：景明洋行在武汉设计有大量建筑作品,是武汉城市历史的重要一环,文章通过历史文献及相关文字资料研究、现场考察调研,试图探究景明洋行对武汉近代城市发展之影响。景明洋行创立于1911年,正值辛亥革命后的城市重建时期,受到多方支持,在武汉开展了大量建筑活动。执业期间,景明洋行设计风格上有多次转变,与武汉城市整体建筑风格的发展在时间序列上有相同的趋势变化。此外,景明洋行在汉经营期间,聘用大量本土从业者,为武汉培养出大批高素质的专业人员,为后期武汉城市的建设奠定了基础。证明了景明洋行是武汉近代影响最大的建筑设计事务所之一。Hemmings&Berkley has designed a large number of architectural works in Wuhan,which is an important part of Wuhan’s urban history.This paper examines the influence of Hemmings&Berkley on Wuhan’s modern urban development through the study on historical documents and related textual materials,as well as onsite visits and investigation.Founded in 1911,during the period of urban reconstruction after Xinhai Revolution,Hemmings&Berkley was supported by many parties and carried out a large number of architectural activities in Wuhan.During the period of its practice,the firm made several design stylistic changes,which followed the same chronological trend as the development of Wuhan’s urban architecture as a whole.In addition,during its operation in Wuhan,Hemmings&Berkley employed many local practitioners,trained many highly qualified professionals for Wuhan and laid the foundation for the subsequent urban construction of Wuhan.This proves that Hemmings&Berkley is one of Wuhan’s most influential architectural firms in modern times.
