摘  要:基于Moliere多重散射理论的缪子散射成像技术,可用于分析材料内部元素分布并确定原子序数。相对于高能量的宇宙射线缪子,加速器打靶产生的缪子束流能量偏低(约为45~450 MeV/c),Moliere多重散射理论的适用性有待探讨。本文利用Geant4软件模拟研究了中、低能量区(<800 MeV)缪子的库仑散射过程,分析了散射角的均方根分布,并通过散射成像算法对模拟结果进行了图像重建。结果表明,中、低能量缪子的散射与成像物体的几何结构密切相关,能量为400 MeV的缪子束流散射成像仅可用于厚度分别小于9.78 mm、56.9 mm、140.7 mm的W、Si、Na材料内部元素的分布信息。研究结果可为Moliere多重散射理论在该能区缪子散射成像技术的应用提供理论指导,推动缪子在核材料检测、文物鉴定、海关安检等领域小尺寸物品的成像分析与应用研究。Muon scattering imaging technique based on Moliere multiple scattering theory can be used to analyze the internal element distribution of the material and determine the atomic number.Compared with the high energy cosmic ray muon,the energy of the muon beam generated by accelerator targeting is low(about 45~450 MeVc-1),and the applicability of Moliere multiple scattering theory needs to be explored.In this paper,we study the Coulomb scattering process in this energy region,analyze the root mean square distribution of the scattering angle,and reconstruct the simulation results through the scattering imaging algorithm.The results show that the scattering of low energy muons is closely related to the size of the imaging object,The 400 MeV muon beam scattering imaging technique can only be used for W,Si and Na materials whose thickness is less than 9.78 mm,56.9 mm and 140.7 mm,respectively,and the distribution information of elements inside the target can be accurately obtained.The research results can guide the application of Moliere multiple scattering theory in muon scattering imaging technology in this energy region,and lay a foundation for the research of muon in small size nuclear material detection,cultural relics imaging and other fields.
