性格二重组合下对腐儒的探赜——论《儒林外史》“二进”的性格

摘　　要：《儒林外史》的周进和范进,都是多年中举不第的腐儒代表。吴敬梓通过表现周进和范进的性格变化过程,力图呈现科举制度害人之深,引导当时的仕儒走出八股举业的禁锢。小说中采用悲喜剧性格二重组合和善恶性格二重组合的结构类型,将周进和范进复杂的性格特征与“迂腐”这一性格核心相联系,从而启发读者对封建科举制度的思考。Zhou Jin and Fan Jin in the External History of the Confucian Scholars were both representatives of the corrupt Confucians who had not been ranked first for many years.Wu Jingzi tried to show the deep harm of the imperial examination system by showing the character changes of Zhou Jin and Fan Jin,and guided the official scholars out of the imprisonment of eight branches.The novel adopted the structure type of the tragicomedy character combination and the good and evil character combination,and connected the complicated character characteristics of Zhou Jin and Fan Jin with the character core of“pedantic”,thus enlightening readers to think about the feudal imperial examination system.
