摘　　要：2023年的英国剧场并不被一些剧评人和观众看好。在经济下行、创新活力不足的当下,戏剧行业除了在经费上挣扎外,还要面临反复老调重弹的批评。本文将英国2023年主流戏剧市场推出的新制作粗略分为原创、改编与复排三类,通过阐述其中“新”与“旧”的元素与其相辅相成的流动态势,来探讨当代英国剧场所存在的一些选材取向,以及商业与艺术策略。The British theatre practice was not optimistic in the eyes of some critics and audiences.During a time of financial decline and lack of innovation,the theatre industry not only struggled with funding but also faced the criticism of repeating itself.This article has roughly divided new mainstream theatre productions in 2023 into three categories:new original plays,adaptation,and revival.By examining the elements of‘new’and‘old’and their fluidity,this article intends to discuss the thematic tendencies and commercial and artistic strategies of British theatre today.
