摘　　要：铁路是工业革命的产物,也是具有科学技术表征的现代化交通工具,自其通车时起就被认为具有便利交通、发达工商与传播文化之责任,它促进了社会的自由与进步,是现代文明的象征及平等的展现。女性在人类社会进步中发挥了重要作用,参与并推动了社会发展,而铁路作为文明之引线,成为女性解放的媒介和女性力量的延伸。然而,铁路的运行又让女性乘客面临出行安全挑战,这又促使铁路营运机构积极采取措施强化女性的乘车安全。铁路与女性在现代性语境中相互促进和影响,共同推动社会发展。Railway,as a product of the industrial revolution and a symbol of modern transportation characterized by scientific and technological advancements,has been entrusted with the responsibility of facilitating transportation,fostering industrial and commercial development,and disseminating culture since its inception.It has played a pivotal role in promoting social freedom and progress while serving as an emblem of modern civilization and an embodiment of equality.Women have significantly contributed to the advancement of human society by actively participating in and propelling social development.As the vanguard of civilization,railways have become a medium for female emancipation and an extension of female power.However,the operation of the railway makes the female passengers face the challenge of travel safety,which prompts railway authorities to implement proactive measures aimed at strengthening their safety protection.In the context of modernity,railways and women mutually promote and influence each other while collectively driving social progress.
